Oh Gosh...

We just found out we’ve been nominated to not one or two but three prizes within gastronomy and wine.

First DiggMat nominated us to “newcomer of the year”. Then Norges Beste Vinkart nominated us to “newcomer of the year”. And then we were nominated again by Norges Beste Vinkart for “best wine menu”.

We may not win any of our categories, but it’s still an honor to be mentioned in the same setting as some of the best restaurants in Norway!

Spring is here...

Last week marked the arrival of spring at Mangelsgården.

This years first ramson turned up on our doorstep and to be honest it had us at hello. We love you Jerusalem artichoke, but you’ve been our lonely companion this past winter and quite frankly - we need som space.

The ramson was delivered by our lovely liason Nils from Knatten Fruktgård. It may not be warm yet but the forests outside of Sandefjord have already had their share of sun hours, which has resulted in a very early but definite start to the ramson season. This year the this happily coincided with the season for kid, so our head chef Henrik happily whipped up a potatoe flatbread filled with braised kid, plenty of fresh ramson and mint vinegrette for us.

The world is a better place right now.
