CHAMPAGNE MEETS CHIANTI

Mangelsgården and Non Dos would like to invite you to an evening with two legendary wineries - one on either side of the Alps.

From Chianti Classico we find princess Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa, who since 1968 has been cultivating organic grapes at Castell’in Villa winery.

Coralia has always stayed true to her idea of what a traditional Chianti Classico should taste like. This means working with low yields, manual harvest, spontaneous fermentation and aging in big old oak vats.

The Champagne producer Fleury was established in 1895 in Courteron i Vallée de la Seine, Côte des Bar. Here they cultivate 15 hectares of biodynamic vineyards. In fact they were the first producers to acquire a Demeter certification in 1989. All grapes are hand-picked and spontaneously fermented in 6000 liter big, old oak vats.

PIEMONTESE EVENING WITH SEGNI DI LANGA

Gian Luca Colombo is the owner and driving force behind the biodynamic winery Segni di Langa in Roddi in Langhe, Piemonte.

On the 1st of May he’ll be visiting us at Mangelsgården, and he’s promised to bring a selection of delicious wines:

-NU vino rosso 2017
-Langhe pinot nero 2017
-Barbera d'Alba Superiore 2016
-Barbera d'Alba 2017
-Nebbiolo d'Alba 2017

All the wines will be served by the glass and Gian Luca himself will be behind the bar, ready to answer all your questions and pour you a glass or two…

AN EVENING WITH GRIESEL & COMPAGNIE

Next Saturday Niko Brandner from German sekt producer Griesel will be visiting Mangelsgården.

Griesel & Compagnie is part of the new wave of young and dynamic sparkling wine producers to emerge in Germany these past few years. With longer aging on lees, gentle picking, whole-bunch pressing and only minimal use of sulphur Niko together with others are setting a new standard for what German sparkling wines could - and should - taste like.

Niko will be helping us out in the bar all evening, so don't hesitate to stop by for a wine tasting or just a glass of sparkling and a nice chat! In addition our chefs have put together a menu to go with the wines from Griesel for those of you who’re looking for the full experience.

OYSTERS WITH FUGLEN COCKTAIL BAR

This Tuesday the nature-child-forager-of-the-seas-cocktail-artist-and-oysterlover Halvor Digernes from Fuglen will be joining us at Mangelsgården. Expect toppings from quirky Norwegian west-coast to the elegant Far East and wash it all down with Halvors handfull of champagne cocktails. We´ll be shucking shells from six until eight or the oysters run out. See you!

VALENTINES DAY WITH ARIANNA OCCHIPINTI

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet an icon!

Arianna Occhipinti will be helping us out behind the bar all evening at Mangelsgården. We’ll be serving all of her wines by the glass and have also put together a tasting menu to pair with the wines.

Those who would like to can reserve a table, but anyone and everyone’s welcome to just stop by and have a chat with Arianna and a glass of wine or two.
